Sitting around the campfire....

Instead of fighting crowds and bugs, we decided to have a campfire in our backyard on July 4th. We played a little boccie ball.....unsuccessfully, because some little dog kept chasing the balls
Luke went in the house and grabbed his guitar, so we could do a little singing around the campfire, but with only 9 months of lessons under his belt, all he could play was "Sweet Home Alabama." Not very patriotic, hey?
Ben then grabbed the guitar and strummed a little, but decided to "pose" for this picture instead of actually play a tune.....wish I could say that music or any sound was coming out of his mouth when I snapped this shot.....but maybe that was a GOOD thing..... he looks good though!
and of course while all of this was going on, Minnie was enjoying the rest of John's "mudslide."
She enjoyed the remnants with no ill effects, I might add.....

A good weekend indeed....
