All Star Weekend....
It was a great weekend to play baseball. Luke was chosen to be a part of the All Star team and he had a blast playing on Saturday morning. Our village really makes the games very special.....they play music, give out medals, announce the players, special food and this year had a former Brewer throw out the first pitch. Oh yes, and the famous Klement's Sausages visited the park...
Here are a few pictures from the game.....they had a professional photographer taking pictures...here are a few that they took.......
Here's one of Luker's biggest fans......brother Ben
and here's a picture of one of the cars that was a victim of a foul ball...Can you see the dent??? Thank goodness that my car was 2 cars down....WHEW!!!
We also attended more graduation parties this weekend....I'm trying not to cook dinner on the weekends in the month of June ...hee hee!!!

Graduation Party....
The reason we traveled to Minnesota in the first place, was to see this family.....The Stromme Family........
Brady, their oldest, was having a graduation party and we wanted to attend it and spend some time with them. It was a great party- Here's a photo of the food table......Brady wanted "Walking Tacos"......
The garage was decorated very festively...
we even had time to play a little b-ball with them....
and of course, we had quite a few laughs with them....

Mall of America- continued
While we were visiting the Mall of America, I had the best lunch buddy.....
After lunch we decided to visit an attraction called "Underwater Adventure." It was on the lower level of the mall...it was very interesting....the attraction featured all kinds of fish, sharks, jellyfish, crabs, etc. Basically you walked through a tunnel and the tank was surrounding the tunnel, so all of the fish, sharks, sea turtles, etc. were swimming around and above you. Here are a few shots from the tunnel....
At the end of the exhibit, they had a hands on area where people could touch starfish, crabs and sea anemones. The boys LOVED this part, but someone else who will remain anonymous (Anna) did not care to touch ANY of the creatures....thankyouverymuch.

You know that you made the right decision about going to the attraction when you hear Luke say "Well, that was sure worth the money!!" He cracks me up!!!

Mall of America!!!
The past few days we have been out of state and on vacation in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area. We spent a whole day here, at the Mall of America!!!
I couldn't believe all of the rides that they have INSIDE of the mall!! Lucky for me, none of the kids wanted to ride any rides!!
Anna, John, and I spent an hour or so in the AMERICAN GIRL store......yes, John was the photographer...I'm sure that this store wasn't his favorite, but he was a good sport!!
Anna brought one of her dolls from home and carried her around the whole day. We didn't buy much, but instead, Anna wanted to have her doll's hair "done", and wanted to get the dolls ears pierced too!!
She watched and took notes about how to care for the doll's hair and paid special attention to how they styled her hair...... We tried to eat lunch at the American Girl Cafe, but we ran out of time.....
The photographer (John) took this photo of one of the historical dolls in her display case......

Michelle's Graduation Party
On Saturday afternoon we attended the high school graduation party of a good friend of mine's daughter. We met each other when our kids were babies....probably around 3 months, at the YMCA's Post natal with baby class. We were both stay at home Moms and all that were in the class were in need of support and adult conversation. When our class ended, we (the whole class) continued to get together on Tuesdays at 1:00, meeting at each others homes. Through the years, we have continued to get together for lunch periodically. We, as a group have helped each other through various "rough spots" in the road of life....as trivial as babies teething to divorce.
I can't believe that our then "babies" are all graduating......it was a beautiful party.....with great food and beverages...
beautiful flowers........
and a beautiful friend....

Tennis Banquet
The boys had their end of the season tennis banquet last night. We heard lots of stories about various tennis meets. The coaches took the time to tell a little about each one of the players (there were about 30).
Andrew played on Varsity this year....he ended up playing various positions #4 singles, #3 singles, #2 singles and even played doubles in one meet. The coaches liked that he was a versatile player that could adjust to any change and remain a strong player. A Varsity letter was earned, a chevron, a tennis pin and even the "Coaches Award" Plaque was given to him for an outstanding year!! Very Nice, Andrew!!!
Ben started out well as a freshman tennis player this year. He played #1 doubles on JV with Keith Anderick. They had a great season as well.... the coach said that Ben was a great tennis player and that he and Keith were a great team. Coach also said that he was looking forward to seeing Ben next year...and that there were 7 Varsity spots open next season!!!! Good Luck, Ben!
Ben earned his numerals for his letter jacket.....
A very fun night with pizza, conversation and awards!!! Again, a very proud Momma!!

Graduation Day!!
Sorry for the lack of a blog yesterday (Monday)--blogger was unavailable....but I guess it's working again...hooray!!!
Well, Graduation Day went off without a hitch.....except I was so concerned about making sure that I had my camera, my video camera and my memory card that I forgot the tickets to the graduation. Luckily, there were so many people there, the ticket takers didn't much care that we didn't have them....we just went on through to the field house. whew!!
Here's a picture of the graduate--just as he walked off of the stage....caught him a little off guard and he gave a little smirk.....
yes, here he is walking across the stage......the basketball hoop adds a nice touch (ha)
By the way, the white stole that he was wearing meant that he was a part of the National Honor Society....and the gold cords meant that he graduated with high honors-- so proud of him!!!
Here we are after the ceremony, just outside of the high school.....
and did you notice in the pictures above, that Andrew was more concerned about getting our $25 deposit back from turning in the stole....that's why he doesn't have it on in the pictures.....Silly Andrew......
After the ceremony, we drove to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner.....YUM!! It was a proud, wonderfully, beautiful day........
