Up North...

This weekend John and I headed north to our cottage for a Mommy & Daddy getaway. We had fun at the mall, even finding a few items at this store for my Spring wardrobe....
We especially enjoyed the fact that we had a kitchen to prepare food ....so we made some baked potatoes to go with our broasted chicken and coleslaw....it was delicious! We can't wait until this remodeling is done so we can have warm food again.... We even lit a fire in the fireplace....

Hunger kicked in on Sunday morning again so we drove to a fun little cafe for breakfast. Here is one of the signs on the wall. John and I laughed out loud !!!
Here's a little sampling of the breakfast fare at this cafe. Here is my breakfast.....hash browns covered in sausage gravy with 2 scrambled eggs on top and 4 pieces of toast. Holy Cow.....that meal could have fed a small army!! John had 2 pancakes and a broccoli swiss cheese omelet.
