Up North (Saturday)

 Saturday was a family day.  The guys decided not to golf and we just hung out at the house and relaxed.  Some of us read...

 Some played their hand held electronics since the internet was not available...

I think this picture sums up the whole weekend.  Card games, books, hand held electronics and junk food!!  That's what happens up north!  Oh yeah, some movies were watched too!  

 More pool fun on Saturday.  They had a D.J. there all afternoon.  We were smart and went when everyone started leaving the pool!

 What a great dinner....Chicken & coleslaw from the deli at a nearby convenience store, Kraft Mac n Cheese and grapes.  Perfect!

Trip Up North (Friday)

 John, the boys and Bella made the trip up north on Thursday night and Anna, Minnie and I went up after her eye appointment on Friday.  The reunion was sweet....

We made it just in time for an early dinner at a little lodge up the road.  It was a beautiful night- lots of pontoon boats cruising around the lake. (Lake Sherwood)

 After dinner we hit the clubhouse pool.

 We had fun until the lifeguard blew the whistle and closed the pool at 7:00. 

Seems a little early to me!

Roadtrip!!!

A prisoner in my garage

This little guy was stuck in our garage for about an hour the other day.  Not sure what kind of bird it is, but I'm thinking it's a catbird. No intervention needed- I just kept the garage door open and he eventually flew out!  Yay!

College visit #1 for Luke!

 Just over that bluff is Lake Michigan. Many of the sports teams train on the bluff...it's about 250 steps down to the lake.  A great private beach is there where students can have bonfires, etc.

 Anna was invited to go up north with a friend.  It seems as though they are enjoying their time together!
