National Honor Society Banquet

Last year Ben was inducted into the National Honor Society at his school.  This year because he is a senior, he gets to help crown the new inductees....I caught a picture of him right before the processional.....He's always a goofball....but I think he's pretty special!!

John refilled the birdfeeder and word got out....the Peterson buffet was OPEN!!  I looked out and saw this beautiful cardinal..he looks so colorful with all of the berries!! 

and then there was this guy....and his friends that were feeding on the ground....ugh!!

 Ben's latest artwork.....Made the face from Perler beads, yard for the hair, wooden cross, body is construction paper ripped and glued on...

Ben informed me that his teacher loved the project and gave him 4.8 out of 5.0 !!!

Pumpkin carving...a little late....

 Our big, exciting weekend included carving pumpkins--finally!!!  Anna, Luke and John got involved and I was the photographer/videographer.  After looking up several things on the internet, Luke settled on a "Bucks" pumpkin- Anna choose an owl and John made a "Bella" pumpkin.

Demonstration Speech

Anna was assigned to do a demonstration speech in her 5th grade class.  Along with the speech she had to design a poster to capture all of the steps in her demonstration.  She chose to show the class how to do a "fishtail braid."  Many of the girls in her class know how to create a regular braid, but this one is a little different.  Unfortunately, she was given the posterboard the day before she was giving the speech, causing us to panic a little....but she got it done and she was happy with the final product.  I think she did a great job!!!

Here's the birthday boy from earlier in the week with his requested dessert, Vanilla Wafer and Banana Pudding!!  YUM!!  His requested dinner was chicken and noodles.....

Reagan's Halloween Party

 Anna went to a costume party last Sunday at one of her friend's house. They did a beautiful job of decorating!  Here was the view walking up the sidewalk....

 They also had a scavenger hunt, balloon popping, doughnut eating contest, corn hole game and Bingo!!  They had so much fun-- she didn't want to come home!! She made so  many fun memories with her friends!
