Random Pictures

Here are a few random pictures of the kids from this week....

Andrew has a new student in his class that just came here from Mexico. The student cannot speak English, so Andrew's class decided to throw a party for him to make him feel more welcome. Andrew's assignment was to make cookie bars. Here he is making the bars...the pink mixer didn't even bother him!! REAL MEN USE PINK MIXERS!!

Ben had a flag football game this week. Here he is playing in the game....

Luke has a bad cold this week and his asthma has kicked in...he's missed quite a few days of school. I guess cold medicine can really knock ya out...

Anna has had fun playing with her birthday presents..."Look, Mom, our outfits match. Isn't that so cool?"

Have a great weekend!!!! Jill

The Birthday Bash

Grandma and Grandpa were here for Anna's birthday celebration! We started the evening by having Anna's choice for dinner. Dinner included spaghetti (with NO sauce) and fruit salad...those were her requirements. Pretty easy, hey?

The birthday cake was a chocolate cake with vanilla cheesecake filling....Yum! I was planning on making it myself until I saw one at Costco.... How easy was that? Grandpa bought the cake and told Anna that he was up early that morning making it for her. Didn't Grandpa do a beautiful job??

Here was the theme for presents this year...Bitty Baby and accessories...she was thrilled...oh yes, AND the High School Musical 2 CD that she just LOVES to sing and dance to!! The Ariel Halloween costume was a huge hit too. Oh, to be 6 again!!

How great is this?? Grandma and Grandpa unloading my dishwasher---too bad they can't stay for a few more days!! Jill

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANNA!!

It was 6 years ago today that in the wee hours of the morning, I gave birth to this precious little girl. Almost every day Anna says to me "I bet you are SO glad that you had a girl, after all of those boys." Wow, you can bet on that--what a delightful change.
Right now Anna's favorite things to do are sit in her room with music on and comb her American Girl Doll's hair, play Polly Pockets, sit and pet our doggies and SING!! She always has a song in her head...she's usually humming or singing. Anna has a great sense of humor, she always has a "one liner" that makes us all roll on the floor. Most of all, she is so fun to be around..We JUST LOVE HER SO MUCH!!! Happy Birthday Anna!

Luke's creation

Luke has discovered something so yummy, so delicious that we just had to share! But remember, this is the guy who dips his carrots in ketchup.
First, get yourself a bowl of vanilla ice cream. Next, fix yourself a glass of chocolate milk and dump it into the bowl of ice cream....Enjoy! I'm not sure what to call this creation....ice cream soup?? double calcium delight? You need to try this recipe tonight. Jill

Down and then Up

Our weekend certainly had it's ups and downs. Let's start with the downs and then end on a positive note. Well, what are the odds that your new dog would totally ignore the invisible fencing in our yard and run past it into the neighbor's driveway, only to jump up on a certain person that was visiting them.....the sheriff!! How embarrassing!! Then, you let your teenage son pull your NEW car out of the garage and he ends up turning too sharply and scrapes the bumper of your NEW car on the side of the garage.....did I tell you it was my NEW car????? After a few phone calls to certain friends, I calmed down enough to realize that it was a problem that could be fixed with money, and no one was hurt, so I needed to CHILL OUT!!

Next, the good news.... John came home from golfing, and "fixed " the car problem by cleaning up the bumper with some mineral spirits....it looked like new again! My husband is AWESOME!!

On Sunday, we went to church, then had our usual Subway for lunch...

watched the Packer game...Yea!!!!They won!!

then Gramma Sue and Grandpa Phil came to visit from out of state!! They were so kind and patient to play with our kiddoes..... (they're playing play doh)

Then, bless their gigantic hearts, they took all of the kids to their favorite place to eat....Ponderosa.....and let John and I go on a date!!! Guess what? We didn't go to Ponderosa... or Mc Donalds!!
While at Ponderosa, they saw these on the table...

so the boys came home and spent a few hours on the computer learning to fold dollar bills and actually made a few of their own. What a great Sunday!!!! Jill
