Cookie Bars!

We had workers at our house this week replacing our siding.  Anna and I decided to make them a treat- cookie bars!  We are messy cooks and we don't care!!

Pasta Party!

 Luke's first cross country meet is today, so last night they had a pasta party to load up on "carbs"  before the race.  Evidently this is a weekly thing....there are about 70 cross country runners, so feeding them all is a BIG deal!  This week I contributed the huge veggie tray. It was so pretty....but I came home with most of it left.  You can see the desserts in the background- they were very popular!

These crockpots/pans are all full of some kind of pasta dish....lasagna, mac n cheese, etc. Let's hope they have lots of energy later today!!  Go Owls!!

Banana Caramel Pancakes

Anna had a friend over and they made banana caramel pancakes for breakfast!  They topped the pancakes with slices of banana and a little whipped cream!!

John's new toy

Our weed wacker died last week while John was working in the yard.  He decided to head to the hardware store to purchase a new one.  While he was there, he happened to pick up a power washer.  Oh, the fun he had with that new toy all afternoon.  He cleaned off the patio, the table, the chairs the siding, and the windows.....

Luke's Lambeau Weekend

 One of Luke's friends invited him to go to the Packer game on Friday and then spend the rest of the weekend in Door County at their cabin.  Here they are grabbing a QUICK bite to eat before the game.

Wildlife Rehab

 Anna works at a wildlife rehabilitation center up the road from our house.  She has the privilege of feeding baby squirrels, bunnies, birds and opossum.  She cleans out cages of hawks and owls, turkey vultures, ducks and snakes.  One of her favorites is Buddy the tortoise. Here he is...

She makes dinner for the opossums.  Here's the colorful dinner...dog food, mixed vegetables, rice, yogurt, meat, crushed Tums and fruit.  What a fantastic this opportunity she has working there!

The babysitter

Anna has been very busy babysitting the last few weeks!  She's so good with the kids that she even got a raise!

Sunday Funday!

 The whole gang was together yesterday for some food and fun!  We had various games going (as well as laundry!)  Lots of laughs were had by all.  Gma and Gpa even joined us for dinner.  I made crock pot lasagna...2 crock pots worth! 

Pet Fair

 Yesterday, I went to a "Pet Fair."  This fair featured different vendors from the area and of course there were so many cute dogs!  Minnie (On the left) found her future husband...his name is Mini Cooper.

This 13 yr. old Yorkie was a part of the War Dog exhibit. Our country actually used Yorkies in WW2.

 The canine unit came out to show "Tyson's" obedience and to show how the police unit uses his specialized skills.

It was a great afternoon!

Sunday- Up North

 Ate breakfast at our favorite place... 

I had my favorite, the "Stacker."  Hash browns with sausage gravy, topped with 2 eggs over-easy. Oh, and sour dough toast!  I couldn't finish it, of course, so I had the leftovers for breakfast on Monday morning too!
