2nd Place!!

 The HUGE news of the weekend was that Anna's 5th grade basketball team won 2nd place in the St. Kilian Tournament.  Their championship game went into overtime, and her team came out just a little short on points...but it was an exciting game!!!

Homework!

Just documenting that Ben actually did homework once this year!!  I guess he needed Dairy Queen and his head phones to help him through it!!

Weekend

 Last weekend, we had one of Anna's friends stay over night from Thursday until Saturday.  Her parents were on a weekend getaway.  We decided to have a little girly time....I had my nails done, Anna got a hair cut and Molly got a paraffin wax hand treatment & a hand massage!!

Later on Saturday, we ran downtown to John's office.  He will be relocating to this office so we pulled some pictures and things from his old office and planned out the arrangement of his new office.  Right now, this office isn't being used and has collected a lot of "stuff" in it...  The staff will clean up the office and then move John in!  I think he's going to like having a wall of windows!!

Bella worked at the assisted living center yesterday.  Afterward, we went through the McDonalds drive thru to get her some french fries...they are her favorite!! But then again, any food is her favorite!!!

 Ben was in charge of making dinner last night because I was going to be gone all afternoon and into the evening.  When we arrived home from the last basketball game around 7:00 pm, we walked into the house and noticed that the house smelled delicious.  Well, Mr. Ben had cooked 2 frozen pizzas but had forgotten to take one of them out.....So, here's what a frozen pizza looks like after cooking for 2 hours!!

Even the dog wouldn't eat it!!!!

Weekend

 We spent our weekend at the school for our 5th and 6th grade boys and girls basketball tournament.  Anna's basketball team didn't fare very well, but the cheer leaders were AWESOME!  Here are a few of the stunts that they performed!

I made a bag of breakfast burritos this week, and a few loaves of banana bread!  The kids will have some goodies to eat for a few days!!

 This week I had a strange thing happen to me...I had some vision problems that looked like this...the "c" in my vision was all sparkly and looked like a kaleidoscope.  I went to the walk in clinic and they diagnosed this oddity as an "Ocular Migraine."   I didn't even have a bad headache!!  Weird!!  I haven't had any other issues this week....I'm also being treated for a sinus infection, so that may have contributed to the migraine.  Looking forward to the weekend of basketball ahead!!  Happy Friday!!

 

Our Friends...

 

Our friends, the Mundingers..they just adopted 2 little ones from the Congo.  Daniel and Lydia are now Mundingers!  From what I've heard, life is rough right now, trying to help the kids adjust to their new environment.  Some things that surprised me were the kids were used to sleeping on the ground, so they haven't used the crib yet for Lydia-- Mattresses on the floor work just as well.  Also, the family has to be careful taking them out in the public because they haven't been immunized.  Having a dog in the house was scary as well for the kids...their pup had to go elsewhere for a week or so. 

Hats off to Kim, Jay, Jase, Sally, Charlie and Jack-- they are pouring their love and time into these kids!!
