Crazy Kids!!!

Moving Day, back to college.....

 We moved Andrew into his dorm yesterday.  This is Pioneer Hall, and all suite style dorm.  All suites include 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, living room and AIR CONDITIONING!!

 Hello and welcome to Suite 405!!

Here is their small living room.....

 This is the bathroom that is right across the hall from Andrew's bedroom...

 Their kitchen....no oven, but there's a full kitchen for people to use just down the hall....

 This is how the day went....notice Ben jumping on the bed, Luke punching him and Anna watching...
and Andrew making sure his internet was working....

 The finished product.....his bedroom.  I love the huge window.....what a nice change to have his own bedroom after sharing a room this size with a roommate for the past 2 years!

 We will miss having Andrew at home, but know that he will be home to visit soon....

Bathroom remodel #2

The last few crumbs...

We brought home some of our favorite chips, Sterzings, from Iowa a few weekends ago.  Andrew just finished off the last few crumbs last night......boo!!!

Tons of FUN!!

 Friday night was the big Fantasy Football draft at our house with some great friends....we shared a meal, dessert and made our picks.  Even though he didn't have a proper seat, Old Man P still got in there and picked his team....

Saturday was a "Salsa Making" day....we drove up to Gramma Sue's house and chopped and diced and mixed up some spicy salsa!!

 Saturday night brought fireworks from Richfield Days...it's so great that we could view these from our driveway!!

The Best Part

 The best part of staying in a Hotel, of course, is jumping on the bed!!!

The House

 In Ellie and Walter's yard, they have beautiful, old trees, just perfect for climbing.  Before you know it, the kids are way up in the trees.  It's so fun that they can do this....we don't have large mature trees in our yard so they really enjoy climbing....well, except for the sap that gets on their hands.

Ellie has a beautiful garden, that she doesn't till or weed or water..and it still produces a bountiful harvest!

The Party

As a part of the celebration weekend in Iowa, we had a little party at the Golf Club for Ellie and Walt.  The party started with a few drinks and lots of conversation....

Ellie brought an album with wedding photos in it for everyone to see...

Of course we had some yummy food....starting with fruit, cheese and crackers.  

We dined on a chicken breast with wild mushroom sauce, rice pilaf and green bean almondine, and ended with a delicious carrot cake....it was fabulous!!
