A dog day afternoon

The week has been really busy for us....but it didn't seem to effect our furry friends. Bella still wants to play ball every 3 minutes....
and Minnie is still watching for squirrels outside.......

Monday was gorgeous here!! Look, no snow!!!! It was a great day for walkin' the doggies !!!

Basketball

Basketball is our life right now....we're playing those few last games and tournaments before the end of the season!! We watched Anna play on Saturday....the coaches are so good, they give every girl a chance to be point guard....Here's Anna, the point guard!!!

Here's a picture from last weeks game. They played a "red" team. I know the coach was probably concerned about playing good defense but it looks as though Anna is thinking "Oh my goodness, I can't believe you're wearing pink shorts with a red shirt!!"

The Office

John moved into a new office in his building about a year ago. I don't get downtown very often, so I took this opportunity to take a peek at his office when I was there this week.

and LOVED the new spacious office space!!! I'm so proud of this guy!!!

Ugly Sweater Day

I was looking at Facebook the other day and ran into this picture of Ben and some friends. It was Ugly Christmas Sweater Day at the High School.....I won't even admit that he pulled this cardigan from my closet....snowflakes, gotta love it!!
and here's another winning sweater...it was made with puffy paint.....Nice, Laura!!

My little helper

When I ask Ben politely to unload the dishwasher, he always says "YES." It literally takes him 15 minutes to get ready to unload the dishwasher....he has to find his Ipod and his headphones. If I'm patient, he will get the job done...

Wordless Wednesday... On the road again

Date Night

Saturday night John and I had a date night. We went to one of our favorite places....it overlooks a lake. We arrived when there was just a little bit of sunlight left. Out on the lake was an ice fisherman and his 2 dogs. It was amazing just watching them all walking on the ice, checking their sites for the "big one." A friend of mine who was dining there a little later than we did said that the dogs eventually had collars that had flashlights attached to them so they could keep fishing!! We finished the evening with a piece of carrot cake......

Weekend

It was a slow weekend for us...hooray, just what we needed!! John and I managed to get out for a date night and enjoyed a wonderful dinner and CARROT CAKE for dessert!! YUM!

I decided to make some Super Bowl Food even if our PACKERS weren't a part of it....made some Chili.....
and made some Hot Wings....very messy to make, by the way....
and some little girlie decided to eat pasta instead....

I took a moment to stop by the school and check out all of the log cabins that the 4th graders had built...let me tell you, I was quite impressed!!! Check these out!!
