Meal Swap!!

I am in a meal swap group, and we gathered at our house on Sunday night. I fed my freezer 14 meals....AWESOME!! Yummy things like Chicken Tortilla Soup, Glazed Ribs, Chicken Parmesan, Beef and Biscuit Casserole....

Weekend

It was a busy weekend for our family....it was our school's 7th grade basketball tournament. So, we got to watch this team play 3 times....and win 2nd place!!!
and I also noticed a cobweb in my kitchen, way up high, that has collected some dust......it was so pretty.... I didn't have the heart to knock it down.....yet.

The finished project....

Anna finished her "log cabin building" project. She used wheat thins as shingles on the roof , graham crackers for the door and windows, coconut flakes for grass and jelly beans for the finishing touches.....So proud of her!! She built it herself, with only a little help from Mom!!

We took Andrew back to college this week, on Wednesday......we're missing him already!! Here's a picture of him at the kitchen counter working with a couple of computers when he was at home.....2 computers?? Really???

Things to do, to avoid studying for exams

Mr. Ben has final exams this week, and he's decided that it's not that important to study. (Ahem) When Mom and Dad decide that it's not a good idea for him to play X-box or computer games, you have to get creative in finding something to keep you busy, so you won't have to study. So.....he decided that drawing was a good idea.....
and playing with the dog.....making her wave at everyone was a good idea too...

Weekend

This weekend was extraordinary for bird watching at our feeder....I think those birds were hungry with all of the snow on the ground. I captured a few of the critters that were feeding....
We had some friends over on Sunday to watch the Packer game...and they brought chili....yum!!! Our boys and their boys have a great time together....
and someone could really care less about the game.....nail painting was obviously more important....

SCORE!!

Luke's team played against a combination 7th/8th grade team this week. It was a very rough and tumble game to say the least. Luke did manage to break through and still score 20 points that game. The Raiders worked hard but came up a few points short....bummer!! Here is Luke in action....

The first game....

This was it...the big start of Anna's basketball season. They've been practicing since October and their 9:00 am game was finally here.
She was up and rarin' to play....complete with a matchy-matchy headband for her hair...
That little girlie ran up and down the court with all of her might....
Played some good defense....
Made the shot, even with all of these defenders..... she ended up with 4 points!!
and even had time to chat and giggle with a friend during a time-out......cuz that's what girls do!!!

and yes, they won their first game!!!
