Weekend Softball Tournament

 What a strange weekend....I think we've experienced all the types of weather except snow this weekend!  Saturday morning was filled with rain and storms so our Memorial Day softball tournament in Hales Corners was postponed until Saturday afternoon so they could work on the fields.  The girls played a 3:30 game and a 5:30 game....they WON the first game!!!!  Super!!  By the end of the last game people had jackets and coats on and were wrapped in blankets because it was so cold.....silly me, forgot a jacket so John and I FROZE!!  We drove all the way home with the seat heaters on....

Sunday, we left the house at 6:50 am to play an 8 o'clock game.....again, it was chilly...blankets, coats and plenty of hot coffee for ALL!!!  By 9am, the coats had been walked to the car and the shorts and t-shirts were just right!!  The girls ended up playing 3 games, of which they lost all on Sunday....but they worked hard and are learning to play their positions and work together.  The last game ended at 4 pm and we were ready to go home...it was 90 degrees when we left!!
