What could be better??

We had a great weekend full of basketball, friends, and the perfect amount of busyness.

First, the basketball- Luke had a scrimmage and Ben had a practice on Saturday. Coach Peterson unfortunately had to clean up a "mess" from a player who had either played too hard or had been hit by the old "stomach bug." Sorry John!!!

We had 2 extra kids stay overnight on Saturday. We took all 6 of the kids out for dinner which caused all kinds of stares and raised eyebrows --thinking that they were all ours.....
The bad news was that it took an hour to get our food. The good news is that Andrew drew up a bracket for "Rock, Paper, Scissors" and we had a little tournament as we waited for our food. The games were lots of fun and produced lots of smiles as you can clearly see (above).

Sunday we woke up to a driveway that looked just like an ice skating rink...it felt like it too!! We attended church and then took down all of the Christmas decorations in our house. I was incredibly proud of the teamwork that was exhibited....we had it all down, put away and the carpets vacuumed in less than an hour!! The afternoon went fast as some of our crew left to go shopping and some others stayed home and made smoothies!!!!
I believe that was the best smoothie that we have ever made....it was totally yummy!!! I'll provide the recipe on Thursday :)
