Black Eyed Peas

John decided to take the kids up north to our cottage to give me a break...isn't that sweet? I've enjoyed spending time with friends, watching movies, shopping, reading, etc. My southern friend, Ann, invited me to join her family in her annual New Years Day Dinner. She served pork tenderloin, mashed potatoes, coleslaw, broccoli, cornbread and BLACK EYED PEAS. She said that the black eyed peas are eaten on New Year's Day to bring you good luck in the new year..... Well, I gave 'em a try....they weren't too bad!! Oh, and she made some really yummy ho ho bars to finish the meal......What a treat!
